home > kids > Family Paddle For kids ages 10 and up 3 hour program 10am to 3pm Kayak, paddle, PFD, booties included Certified kayak instructors Parents/guardians participate during the entire class Learn a new sport and have fun doing it together! Come have fun, learn kayaking, play games, meet friends and learn kayak with your kids…during our 1 day Family Fun Instruction and Trip. Spend some time with the little ones while learning a new family sport. Participants can use single or double kayaks to explore this new sport and the skills it takes to make it fun. This class is designed to allow families to go at their own pace with the help and guidance of an instructor with proper equipment. Our instructors will introduce all the activities, skills and games we regularly present to our kids.

Cost $75 per adult and $40 per additional child Dates June 13, 26 July 8, 11, 31 August 8, 19, 28 September 12 Start/ End 10am to approximately 1pm. WHAT TO BRING? Shop for Gear! Please come dressed for the weather and prepared with the appropriate gear and clothing for your kayak program. Below is a list of gear and clothing recommended by the Eastern Mountain Sports Kayak School. If you have any questions please call 800-310-4504. Neoprene long or short sleeve top Neoprene is recommended. Any non-cotton material is appropriate as well. Non-cotton pants or shorts This will depend on the weather and season. Wetsuits are available from the Kayak School for spring, summer and early fall paddling. Drysuits are used for cold weather paddling. Water shoes Can be provided by the Kayak School upon request. No open toed shoes please. Food and Water Lunch and snacks (sandwich, chips, bars, etc...) 1 liter or more of water Additional Items Sunglasses Sunscreen Hat Bug spray Camera Dry bag (optional) Extra change of clothes and towel Kayak School will provide You are welcome to bring your own boat and gear.
