Outer Boston Harbor Islands Tour

  • 4 hour trip
  • Open water paddle
  • Historic Fort on George's Island
  • Paddle Boston Lighthouse
  • Hull Windmill
  • Lovell Island
  • Boston Skyline
  • Routes vary based on weather
  • For more experienced paddlers

  • This is one of those trips for paddlers with a little more experience. Our journey begins inside Hull’s gut across from the High School and we navigate our way to the historic fort on Georges Islands. The Islands have long served as a military barrier to Boston and its harbor. The extensive forts and gun encampments are a lasting proof these truths. Once we reach Georges Island, we begin to see a rugged open water landscape that looks more like Maine than Boston. The objective is to paddle around the islands, visit Lovell Island and paddle past Boston Light. Come challenge yourself and join the Eastern Mountain Sports Kayak School on this open water adventure!
