  • For the last 10 years the city of Providence and its waterfront has gotten a facelift and the City is making a revival. This paddle takes you into downtown Providence is a great way to view all the improvements that are responsible for the recent growth of the area. We launch from Bold Point Park in East Providence and paddle along the newly renovated India Point Park. In order to get into the relocated Providence River we paddle under the new 195 suspension bridge and through the hurricane barriers. This will take us to the downtown section of this paddle tour. At this point we begin to paddle through the suspended fire grates used to create Providence’s renowned Waterfire in which thousands of people walk the river’s edge to be warmed and entranced by the glow, sounds and smells of the fires. Come with us and explore Providence by kayak and enjoy this unique experience!
